Criticizing political figures through “The Artist” parodies seems to be a growing trend this election season. A video under the MassStateGOP YouTube account posted a black and white joke video Wednesday titled “The Elitist,” an allusion to Oscar winning film, “The Artist” and swipe at Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren.

Two weeks ago, Georgetown student Sandra Fluke was denied in her bid to testify at the Senate contraception hearing. Today, Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut” and a “prostitute.”
