Abby Huntsman Slams Romney, ‘Joins’ Democratic Party

Don’t expect Huffington Post writer Abby Huntsman to vote for Mitt Romney this fall. The political commentator appeared on Jennifer Granholm’s “The War Room” this week to talk about her new show, the current Republican presidential candidate, and why the former Massachusetts governor is failing the right. She also joked about joining the left, but sister Liddy tweeted that this isn’t going to happen.

Huntsman, who will appear on HuffPost‘s new online show, HuffPost Live, said it “absolutely” bothers her and others that Romney seemingly shifts his standpoints to appeal to conservatives, adding:

“That has been his biggest challenge and I think that was my dad’s greatest strength…I hear from people everyday on the streets, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, they say, ‘He was a man of the people. He was a politician of the people.’ That’s what people are looking for…I don’t think Romney has showed us that…He will say whatever we want to hear…I don’t think he even knows where he stands and people see that.”

Maybe her dad will have a better shot in 2016, just as Romney came ahead in 2012 after a failed campaign four years ago.
