Absurd Police Make Mom Do Community Service After ‘Graffiti’ Artist Daughter Draws On Rocks With Chalk
9:45 am, August 2nd | by Laura Donovan
Gone are the days of playful chalk drawing. The coloring instrument has gotten people into trouble in recent years, and Richmond police continued the stupid trend by ordering a mother to serve 50 hours of community because her little girl used chalk to draw on rocks.
The 50-hour service requirement seems absurd until you earn of the woman’s alternative, which was to pay $2,500 for “graffiti.” By a 4-year-old.
Like an honorable citizen, the woman took responsibility for her actions. She apologized to policemen for the mess, but still had a fretful child on her hands:
“She’s very scared of chalk for one…And she’s very nervous around cops.”
Sounds like the youngster is planning on running from the law. In the meantime, the mom is expected to repaint and scrape 200 posts in the James River Park System before January unless she wants to be charged for vandalism. Why not just halt production of chalk to avoid this problem entirely and stop all the no-good rotten kids from destroying America?
