5 Actors Who (Allegedly) Treated Women Like Crap — But Played Nice Guys Onscreen

It’s a mistake all too common among little girls: Falling head over heels for a TV or film star, particularly if his character is adorable and kind. But an important thing to remember is that these fellow are performers, and while they may portray chivalrous, brave, intelligent, and talented figures in the moving pictures, they could be anything but the second they clock out for the day.

That seems to be the tragic fate of a few of my favorite male celebrities, namely Matthew Fox, who played heroic perfectionist doctor, Jack Shepard on “Lost” just a few short years ago. Though he looked out for others on the well-written television drama, he apparently doesn’t always do the same in real life. Former “Lost” cast mate Dominic Monaghan recently tweeted of Fox, “he beats women.not isolated incidents.often.” This serious accusation comes about a year after a bus driver decided to sue Fox under the allegations that he physically assaulted her and punched her in the groin. She has since dropped charges, which we’ll explain later, but as you’ll learn, he’s not off the hook. Here are a few actors who have come across as stand-up men onscreen but been reportedly awful to women off-camera.

Well, nice to know making incredibly useless inane statements isn’t gender specific.

Mistreatment of women has no political boundary. Cheaps shots about libs from cons or cons from libs are infantile and do nothing to address the real issue which is the mistreatment of women by men by epidemic proportions in this country!

What about Sean Penn?  When he was married to Madonna he hit her so hard he knocked some of her teeth out.  With Robin Wright repeatedly leaving him, then coming back again, only to leave again, etc. until she finally divorced him seems to mirror that of several abused women.

yeah, Sean Penn should be right up there. Grade-A douchebag woman beater.

  • http://twitter.com/LauraDonovanUA Laura Donovan

Good point. Yeah Penn is a little nuts

But I wouldn’t call myself sadistic.” Of course not. Sure. Why on earth would anyone call that sadistic?

Yeah, I agree with Connery’s position, and Costner? Nah. Moreover, Connery is just stating his honest opinion, irrespective of how that opinion will be received. That makes him admirable, not evil. A lot of exaggeration in this article. When a woman assaults a man on a daily basis, it’s called marriage. When a man yells, insults, or defends himself from an attacking woman, it’s called “domestic abuse”.

operative word is allegedly… gotta love a society where women can accuse a man of anything and get away with it…i would like to see a list of women stars who abused men..lets start with Lisa Robin Kelly of that 70s show..beating her husband..

Sorry Penn is a liberal icon. So he’s automatically immune from anything which could prove him to be a hypocrite.

Kind of funny how Frankie Muniz was tagged as a loser and a wuss when he had to call the police because his nutso girlfriend was trashing his house, then ended up on this doophus list as an (alleged) abuser.

I’ve actually met Frankie and he’s just a regular guy. I hope he sues the crap out of the morons who put him on this list.

Connery never played a nice guy. James Bond slaps the shit out of women and murders in cold blood.

I’d put George Peppard on the list. He hated women and made no secret about it.

And Sean Connery, well this interview is about 50 years old, maybe he has changed since then. Are there more reports? He talked about slaps with the opened hand in some situations. I don’t support this, but well, what about a woman that gives a slap to man? Happy Slapsgiving!

Sure, and Mel Gibson was just admirably stating his honest opinion that Jews are the cause of every war. Or remember when Dog the Bounty Hunter told his son to break up with his black girlfriend so they could all keep throwing racial slurs around? Oh, how we should admire him! If your “honest opinions” are reprehensible, you’re not admirable for voicing them.
