Actresses And Female Singers You Don’t Realize Are Conservative

I don’t know about you, but I get a little tired of the Obama-Hollywood lovefest sometimes. That’s why I was so entertained by Mediaite editor Andrew Kirell’s recent slideshow on “Celebrities You Probably Didn’t Know Are Republicans” that I decided to do some extra digging and track down big name female figures who voted red or have come forward about their conservative views. And I was surprised to see that they weren’t all country music singers as one would expect. Here are some ladies in the limelight who unabashedly lean right.

so sad to see some talented actresses have such twisted political views.

Voting for Bush?  Wouldn’t that make you a liberal?

  • http://www.facebook.com/rhonda.wallace.94 Rhonda Wallace

Why are they twisted? Because they don’t agree with you?

    Patricia Heaton a conservative? Oh, desolation . . . desolation . . .

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/72SEIQTREJMFIYLNSONXKNEG4U NightOwl

Why?  Bc you heard it on tv? The only thing that made Bush a bad president was he was too liberal.  There were way worse than him like Bill Clinton who only appeared to be a good president bc Reagan’s policies were still in progress.  Also the idiot had Bin Laden captured and let him go.  Do some research.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/72SEIQTREJMFIYLNSONXKNEG4U NightOwl

Twisted?  Do you know what conservatism is??  An idea that stood the test of time in this country and started going downhill when people decided we needed to be more “progressive” is *twisted*??  You have that backwards.  Pick up a book.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/72SEIQTREJMFIYLNSONXKNEG4U NightOwl

Actually she makes sense.  Can you explain why exactly you say she’s a joke by actually making a point. making sense and not insulting?   I doubt it.

  • Scott Robertson

By that logic Obama is currently running on GW’s policies….

So W is to blame for the current economy?

Funny how when the economy goes well people always pat themselves on the back but if it goes badly they always blame others.

When it comes down to it there are no real differences between the two parties.  They work together to keep us divided and keep themselves in power.  Everything is just a wedge issue.

  • Anonymous

Pickaxxo – You didn’t know Patricia Heaton was a conservative? She’s been quite outspoken on her views for some time.
Aside to Laura Donavan – Janine Turner of “Northern Exposure” fame is also a conservative.
I have to say one thing I like about the women you’ve listed – they are pretty much all hotties, which leads further proof to my theory that conservative women are generally more physically attractive than their liberal counterparts.

  • Anonymous

that’s quite an idiotic statement. if these has beens and nobodies are the best women the conservatives can claim, then it would make sense to say that countless other very attractive and more prominent celebrities are on the liberal side.

  • fred rob

some of you are real bright some of those women are from Texas normally accept for the latino community a republican state and everybody knows if your an open republican in hollywood you don’t get hired as the industry is run by liberal democrats. I would assume Melinda Aisa & Marrisa Wayne are republicans as their dad John was a republican in his later life while Nell Melissa & Claire Newman are democrats because their parents were/are granted Mr Wayne was a friend of Newman & Woodward’s infact it was Wayne that presented Joanne the best actress oscar in 1958 just months after her & Paul were married

You might as well of titled it “7 women I will no

Instead of liberal or progressive vs. Republican conservative, I like being an Independent moderate. So I don’t have to like social conservativism, or the way the Republican leadership favors corporations over regular people. And I don’t have to agree with the politically correct, hypocritical double standards of the Fox news hating progressives either.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/E2VG54ZKA7SSAKSKAKHOHE5USI Richard

Ron Paul is awesome. Anybody who pays attention knows that Ron Paul and others that think like him are the only chance our country has to self correct. The other morons that like Mccain and Bush are twisted though. I am geussing most of these girls that are registered repub are Ron Paul fans.

Not surprised at some. Mindy Kaling bothered me from moment 1 on The Office and even more when I saw her in an interview.
There’s a vibe that strident Repugnicans give off that would make Angelina Jolie as attractive as a cold sore.

  • Anonymous

     LMFAO!!
I love how Repugnicans always due the Karl Rove 101 of disavowing their criems and mistakes and shifting them onto Democrats.
Bush WAS AND IS A REPUGNICAN!
Y’all picked him, endorsed him, elected him, and sat back while he tore everything to shreds.

I always find it sad and disheartening when my fellow liberals, who swear they accept and listen to everyone, dismiss conservatives as twisted. My dear sister is a conservative, and guess what: She hated Bush as much as the rest of us. So, fellow libs/progressives, instead of dismissing conservatives as twisted or lesser intelligent, how about having a conversation with one and getting to understand the differences? Or is that too liberal for you to grasp?

  • Adam R. Charpentier

Haha, yeah…you can keep Jessica Simpson.

  • Adam R. Charpentier

An idea that doesn’t change, expand, or flourish, is a bad idea…this applies to both camps, the elephants and the jackasses.

  • Adam R. Charpentier

“Women minorities don’t like freedom” reminds me of that telethon a few years back when Kanye West said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” as Mike Myers stood awkwardly alongside and tried to wish himself out of the studio. Except the latter was hilariously out of place given the circumstances of the TV spot, whereas “women minorities don’t like freedom,” sounds like the kind of rhetoric that Larry the Cable Guy would use when explaining why chicken likes being fried and how incest brings families closer. It’s dumb, Dick. Are you also going to suggest that some people like picking in the fields?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_AJCXCO2ENHBDGVEEO4IWLOQ6D4 RobertV

Actually all of this (the housing bust) was all caused by 2 lines in a bill from the Clinton administration…

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_AJCXCO2ENHBDGVEEO4IWLOQ6D4 RobertV

Actually no matter what you think, GB was a 2 term president that managed to keep our country from tanking during 9-11 issue.  It has been shown that the housing bust was caused by the 2 lines in a bill from the 90s under Clinton.  Bush never tore anything apart.  He did spend like  liberal after 9-11, and started the exponential expansion of government…ultimately that is why we as conservatives don’t like him.  90% of us would take him all day long, over the mess we have in office right now.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/6HZY662OBYV6NIEJHQOEZEUFLE Raelen

Who was it that said when you can’t answer a man’s argument you can always call him names?  frankj calls Rhonda “a joke.” frankj calls Bush “the wost [sic] president of all time.” Trollstomperboots calls Republicans “repugnicans” and Bush “repugnant” and Karl Rove “our abortion.” (I personally don’t believe Karl Rove and a large portion of the Republican establishment are true conservatives but still, “our abortion”?)  Naturally, Trollstomperboots had to add one of those teen-age text codes that includes a word that people with class don’t use.  Richard calls Bush and McCain “morons.” tolstoy77 calls an actress “twisted” because she doesn’t conform to HIS way of thinking. fredrob likes the “twisted” insult, too.  More of the so-called tolerant left.  As for the housing market, the New York TIMES wrote an article detailing how and why the Clinton Administration is largely responsible. I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I do my homework and I vote. I even read some of the actual legislation that our “representatives” pass without ever looking at.  I say I read some because it’s impossible to read all. There’s another brilliant quote that I remember … just not who said it … We are all entitled to our own opinions but we are not entitled to our own facts. Our opinions should be based on the facts whether we like those facts or not.  The name-callers aren’t going to do legitimate, honest, and independent research. They “know what they know” and the facts confuse and anger them so they blindly lash out.  Nightowl, thank you for your insight and your ability to communicate and debate in a civil manner.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/6HZY662OBYV6NIEJHQOEZEUFLE Raelen

Wow.  What a truly distasteful and repugnant comment!  Seriously, are you in junior high?  If you can’t debate* in a mature manner then you really shouldn’t come out of the little boys’ room and into a public forum.  That includes the people who actually “like” what you wrote.  It’s an insult to ALL women.  It’s an insult to MEN who are decent.
*Actually, your crude comment doesn’t qualify as debate.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/6HZY662OBYV6NIEJHQOEZEUFLE Raelen

I am also Independent but I don’t ride the fence or sit in the middle of the road.  You will fall off or you will get run over.  You can stand a firm stand without being insulting.  You can’t please everyone.  Everything isn’t gray.  Alexander Hamilton said, “Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.”  Forget style.  Don’t graze the surface.  Dig deep and learn the difference between opinion and fact.  Take a stand and base your opinions on facts.  Be courageous and be civil.  I think you probably already are civil based on your post.  Still, I don’t understand why you single one news organization out when they ALL have failed telling us the whole truth.  Care about what is right instead of who is right but very carefully do your own homework.  Don’t automatically dismiss a source because you don’t like them.  Check it out.  Riding the moderate fence doesn’t mean everyone is going to like you.  If your quest is really for the truth, you will find it and you will stand firm.  Ostracario claims the world would be a better place if we were all moderates and had style.  Really?  What about substance?  Perhaps being moderate is an attempt to have it both ways and be politically-correct.

  • Anonymous

please! Who didn’t know that southern moron Jessica, the uber-religious daughter of a church leader was Republican…?
You also forgot porn star Jenna Jameson who stated that all rich people (such as her) want a republican in office. she really paints in in a positive light…

  • Joshua Kricker

Jessica Simpson didn’t know whether “Chicken of the Sea” was chicken or fish. I don’t know if she ever found out. Very disappointed in Sarah Michelle Gellar though. I thought she was smarter than that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Neville-Ross/100002343524258 Neville Ross

Excuse me, sir, but what we all are seeing these days in the GOP is fascism, pure and simple-and if we don’t find a way to arrest it, America (along with my native Canada) will end up being what it fought against in World War II-an irony that would be so amazing if it weren’t so frightening. These ladies (some of whom I’m fans of) are being deluded if they think that Paul and Romney are cool people to be voting for, and they all should (along with people like yourself) go to the bookstore, the local library and to some online sources and study what fascism actually is before they support these men.

Also, as has been said here before, progressive ideology and ideas have fueled North America, not fascism and corporatism.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Neville-Ross/100002343524258 Neville Ross

You neocons have been calling progressive people names for two decades now-who are you all to act upset when people insult you back or speak truth to power?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Neville-Ross/100002343524258 Neville Ross

Much like fascism is, and you’ve got a very virulent strain of it infecting you.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Neville-Ross/100002343524258 Neville Ross

Because it’s the truth, dumbfuck. Wake up, grow the fuck up, and realize this.

  • Adam R. Charpentier

I was genuinely surprised by this because I’m fairly certain that you didn’t read my comment at all. “An idea that doesn’t change” is a non-progressive idea, yes? So, I agree with you.

When someone is acting like a crazy sky wizard loving right-wing grandpa, I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone calling them nuts, but the perfectly awful (and it should be called criminal) behavior of certain GOP thugs does not at all mean that everyone in the GOP is an idiot nor should their ideas be blatantly dismissed.

For example, I love capital punishment. I think we should kill a good deal more of our criminals. They’re too expensive to keep and what’s the purpose of a disloyal pet that can’t learn to love? Just an example.

  • http://www.facebook.com/octavia.hayes.522 Octavia Hayes

I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last Republican nomination and no one gave him a chance.

If only “Conservative” meant what it used to mean, I would probably have more respect for these ladies. I hate to say it, but today’s GOP has swung so far to the right, that I am baffled by people, especially women, who say they support it.

    Who is Mindy Kaling?

  • Wutnow

It always scares and saddens me to see female republicans, don’t you know if it was up to them you’d be a kitchen dwelling breeding machine?! And poor people too! So sad that people concentrate on controversial wedge issues and religion and end up voting against there own interests.

  • Wutnow

Yeah let’s all go back to when only white males had rights! It’s traditional!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1013803140 Jeff Royster

Good lord! two forced on we Americans (Pick pick, which one of these two nonsensical parties must I allign myself with?) Both are smug, evil behaving, and leading the charges in ruining life in this here USA. I guess one becomes disappointed with the above womens allegiance to conservatism because the party continues to feel exclusionary, emotionless, class divisive, unable to attract members with a constant menagerie of mistruths, spin and the unbelievable gaul to co-opt a victim mentality, all while enjoying comfort, power, privilege and unfettered acess! My question is what would thisfreaking charade of a movement be if everyone wanted to join it! However would they marginalize people?……oh yeah, just like now. I mean have you seen some of these male leaders facial expressions: “Ted Cruz=smug, scary, discompassionate and reaking with a cyborg meets stepford ethos. same goes for Mr. “Hey, I wrote a budget (Paul Ryan) this “Man” acts computer generated, white bread and appointed to teaching the rest of us how its done! Paul, a tip, learn to be a real human being, have actual feelings like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malkin.lol!! My yardstick for these “conservatives” is this. Ok if a White male (who hates you by the way and most minorities too, and in a way that would make you fricking retch if you knew the extent!) hadn’t created and lead the Right, would you and other lackeys, still believe in it and practice it? I would follow progressivism and maybe libertarianism with som tweaking. Liberalism too, it feels to me as a person of color as a party of accomodating past dominant culture evils and trying to create the appearance of alleviating its punch, (But not to much!) There is no place for really anyone of thought, conscience, rational beliefs etc, with either party. Yet to me, sonservatism feels like a system of of every “ISM” and “$$” for those who re-ify the dominant paradim only. The rest of you are taxing the planet and are a bunch of damned wastrels, junkies, earth feeders and facts obsessed navel gazers. We wish like had only created people who think as we do.

  • JSGII

Yeah sorry, but the season finale of the Newsroom sums up conservatives and their agendas. Also, your sister is probably a libertarian. They are like republicans but hate people more, and really hate government regulation.

  • JSGII

Nope he’s right, and this explains why SMG has been cast off from the rest of the Buffy/Angel crew. They are all friends and liberals

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

Yup, liberal intolerance at its worst.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

No sorry, that won’t wash. Liberals are the screamers and the ranters and the insulters. Liberals are the ones that key cars and break windows and steal political signs and other acts of vandalism. But hey, when you have nothing to debate with, like facts, the only thing left to do is to break things and scream insults.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

That is strictly your subjective opinion. Bottom line is that liberals are the most close minded and intolerant people on the planet. If you don’t conform to their way of thinking, they scream, rant, call names and vandalize. When you don’t have the facts on your side, by all means, throw a tantrum.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

Why is it twisted? Because it doesn’t conform to your way of thinking? Try actually practicing the tolerance that your kind is always blathering about.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

    You mean like in Detroit?

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

Wow, you sure are the tolerant liberal. Hitler would be proud of you for dehumanizing those that disagree with you.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

Nope, he’s wrong. Comments like that are unacceptable in supposedly civil society. That you would come to his defense shows you to be just as vile a cretin as he is, woman hater.

  • http://twitter.com/KenStrangis1 Ken Strangis

    ostracario – who?

Lots of them-try looking it up, and stop acting like the injured party. You all aren’t.

  • Julianne McCartney

I’d just like to know how they reconcile wanting women to be treated equally with their conservative rights. No, I’m NOT saying that ALL conservatives do not advocate women’s rights, but some of the elected officials that are suppose to be representing the conservative party are known not to favor equality for women and many other groups that aren’t them. This post is not meant to be judgmental either way it’s a legitimate question and a prevalent topic. AGAIN, I AM NOT SAYING THAT ANY POLITICAL PARTY IS BAD OR GOOD OR RIGHT OR WRONG, I AM LEGITS WONDERING THIS.

  • http://twitter.com/agataagatha Agatha Gomes

Mindy Kaling I know holds more conservative views. As a minority/foreigner/child of foreigners, she should maybe re-think voting conservative.

  • Agrilz

The worst economic crisis since the great depression began under Bush – if that doesn’t qualify as having ‘tanked’ I can’t imagine what would.

And the ‘mess” you have right now is a record setting DJIA, unemployment lower than when Bush left office, and three straight years of federal debt reduction.

Do you even know what you’re talking about??
