We all wonder which year will be our “best” year. The year we finally clean out our (gross) storage closet, write a book proposal, or stop walking around with jagged, hand-cut bangs. (Goals may vary from person-to-person.) But while it’s difficult to predict when we will be, as Oprah always says, “our best selves,” a new report claims to know when women are at their most creative point.
So, when do women think they’re at their most creative? 35. Oh dear. Only 8 years left for me to complete my opus.
Granted, this Prosumer Report isn’t completely perfect. Its most glaring error, of course, is that it asked its respondents to self-report when they feel they’re at their “best” ages — which could mean there are a bunch of really self-assured 35-year-olds walking around. And some of its other “predictors” — such as “attractiveness peak” — are patently absurd. Still, it’s interesting to wonder: What mind-bending breakthrough can we expect at age 35?
