Allison Janney: Aaron Sorkin ‘Needs To Put Me’ On ‘The Newsroom’

Aaron Sorkin’s “The Newsroom” has quite an interesting lineup of women, and actress Allison Janney, whose cameo as a depressed, comatose wife in 1999 drama “American Beauty” gives me the chills to this day, wants in on the HBO show.
“Well, he needs to put me on that show!” Janney told the Boston Herald after being informed that the females on the program have been criticized heavily in the media. “I would love to be on it. Maybe he’ll think of a character for me. It would be great! I’m dying to do another series. I’m trying to find one. I like that lifestyle. I like movies, but I like to be home, too.”
So, Sorkin, do as she says and perhaps you’ll redeem your image.
