Ann Coulter Explains Why She Turned Down Playboy

Some would jump at the opportunity to appear in Playboy (or unsuccessfully try to convince Hugh Hefner they’re up to the challenge), but conservative commentator Ann Coulter has never had any interest in becoming a centerfold for the magazine. The bestselling author told Joy Behar on a Tuesday episode of Current’s “Say Anything!” that she has been approached by the pub before but declined to pop up on its glossy pages.

After noting that Jenny McCarthy is going to pose for Playboy once again, Behar asked Coulter whether she would ever consider doing the same.

“No…They asked me to once and I said no, I would never do it. I am a Republican, Joy.”

Behar went on to say that “there are plenty of Republicans who…” and cut herself off. Probably for the better. Before that, Behar asked about the Democrats Coulter has gone out with, but the proud GOP member remained mum on the subject

“I have found out through my spies here at Current that you’ve dated more than one liberal,” Behar said. “Are you embarrassed about that?”

“I’m horrified but it was a long time ago,” Coulter said. “Almost every male I’ve ever been publicly associated with or allegedly dated is not true.”

If we don’t know now, we may never know.
