These Are The Luckiest Babies In The World

Sigh. I hope all future babies won’t have inferiority complexes! While life went on for most of us on December 12, 2012 — a momentous (to some) date that marks the last time such a match-up on the calendar will occur until January 1, 2101 in the next century, when we will all be dead — babies lucky enough to be born exactly at 12:12am or pm yesterday are receiving some extra-special attention from astrologists and of course, their parents. These proud parents are convinced that their 12/12/12-born little ones will be undeniably lucky in life. Because that doesn’t set up those babies for failure at all.

Of course, no scientific proof is available to predict whether these babies will lead a charmed life, but nonetheless those born at 12:12 in America, from South Florida to Kansas to Texas, will probably not hear the end of it anytime soon. No 12:12 baby faces as much pressure, however, as the daughter of Colleen and Joel Klinker, as Colleen resisted the final push for her baby girl at Massachusetts General Hospital until the clock struck twelve minutes past noon. Dude. Ultimately, the idea that these babies are born lucky is pretty silly, but we won’t take it out on the little munchkins. Their parents, on the other hand (giving you a bit of a side eye there, Colleen), are a different story.
