Adorable: Obama’s First Kiss With Michelle Commemorated On Plaque
3:00 pm, August 19th | by Laura Donovan
President Barack Obama’s first ever kiss with wife Michelle sounds more like the first kiss between two teenagers at the beginning of their relationship. That makes the smooch story all the more adorable. What’s even better is that the story of the first couple’s very first peck has just been commemorated on a plaque outside a Chicago ice cream shop, where the spark-flying incident took place many years ago.
The plaque, which has been placed in a Hyde Park shopping center, reads, “On this site President Barack Obama first kissed Michelle Obama.” It also includes a snapshot of Obama and his spouse along with the words, “On our first date, I treated her to the finest ice cream Baskin-Robbins had to offer, our dinner table doubling as a curb. I kissed her, and it tasted like chocolate.”
Is it totally lame that I want to cry? Who needs Ryan Gosling when you can have Obama, who has kept ice cream dates alive? Follow suit, twenty-something boys.
