Blake Lively’s Most Memorable Christmas Gift Will Warm Your Heart

Her “Gossip Girl” character may have an unusual, unstable family dynamic at times, but actress Blake Lively is totally and completely in love with her blood relatives, telling Gucci that the most memorable Christmas gift she’s ever received was a video of her nephews and nieces going to school.

“You know, I live in New York now,” the California native says in a clip for the fragrance company. “[My sister] videotaped her kids going to school. From before they woke up, walking in, just a day in the life. Because I don’t get to be with them all the time and I love them as if they were my own children, I actually tell them I’m their mommy…and she videotaped the entire day, making their breakfast and brushing their hair…their sweet faces when you pick them up, and it was just such an incredible gift because it’s something I can’t be there for everyday but…[it was just] so emotional watching that.”

Lively has never been secretive of her admiration for her siblings’ little ones. When promoting film “Savages” earlier this year, she brought nephew Baylon onto Jimmy Fallon’s show. The 25-year-old also did a photo shoot with the kids during an Allure magazine interview and took them into account when participating in sexually explicit flick, “Savages,” telling Front Row Features, “This movie was terrifying in so many ways because this character is so graphic. She experiences such an arc that it’s challenging as an actor, and it’s also challenging as a person. I’ve got a family. I’ve got nieces and nephew and a young audience from my show. So that plays in too and you have a responsibility to your personal life too.”

Clearly, she’s a family girl in all sense of the term. No wonder she was so quick to tie the knot with boyfriend of a year, Ryan Reynolds — she probably wants kids of her own soon! Watch the whole video below and cue it to 2:23 for the nieces and nephews line.
