Awful School Destroys 4-Year-Old’s Princess Dreams By Banning Her Bow Made Of Hair

Before every female decides on a career path, she aspires to be a princess — or to at least look like one. But a British school has taken even that from 4-year-old Marcella Marino, who was just banned from her class photo for showing up with her hair styled into a bow in Lady Gaga fashion.
We know, you probably see the words “Lady Gaga” and automatically assume the young child looked inappropriate, but that wasn’t the case at all. Marcella’s hairdresser father was simply trying to follow his daughter’s request to do her hair in a princess-like manner for the school picture, and quite honestly, she could have shown up to school in Disney Princess gear, which seems much more problematic than this creative updo. But back to the point, she was reprimanded for breaking the primary school’s strict dress code, which states that hair bands and ribbons need to be “made of dark colours” such as navy blue, black, or maroon and that hair braids are “not allowed.” This of course brought little Marcella to tears, and that in turn crushed her dad, who said of the silly incident:
“I am so disappointed – I could understand if Marcella arrived with her hair dyed or something, but this is an elegant look which I think the school should be proud of. It isn’t a hair braid, it is quite simply a knot in the shape of a bow, and I should know because I’m a hairdresser.”
Most of us learn early on that we cannot become princesses, but we never find out like this. School was once thought of as a place where dreams come alive, but this one in particular just shatters them.
