Shock Of The Century: No One Is Watching Bristol Palin’s Reality Show

I was really underwhelmed by the trailer for Bristol Palin’s new Lifetime series last month, so it comes as no surprise to me that the reality show debuted to awful ratings.
“Life’s A Tripp,” which follows the 21-year-old’s life as a single mom
who still has sibling bickering sessions, drew just 726,000 viewers for its premiere episode, according to Deadline. Compared to its lead-in program, “Dance Moms” (which sounds just as awful), “Life’s A Tripp” had low numbers, as the first show had an audience of 1.8 million.
Given the amount of controversy currently surrounding Bristol, who has at least two lawsuits to deal with at the moment, you’d think her show would have gotten more traction. No publicity is bad publicity, right? Besides, the first installment of “Life’s A Tripp” shows her having a meltdown in the parking lot upon duking it out with the most tactless man on earth. People are inherently intrigued by chaos, but perhaps that’s not enough for Bristol’s show to thrive. After all, even her mom Sarah’s reality series couldn’t succeed long-term. Something tells me the same will happen with “Life’s A Tripp.”
