Cameron Esposito Had the Best Late Night Debut

While you were off popping bottles in The Boom Boom Room or watching a chef-peat (re-chef?) of Top Chef Masters or talking to your roommate (again) about how happy you are that you don’t have a television because it gives you so much more time to reflect and read and tend to your Pinterest or just sleeping (no judgement), you missed comedian Cameron Esposito make an incredible late night debut, I’d argue one of the most noteworthy in recent history.
The Chicago native and Put Your Hands Together host performed on last night’s Late Late Show where Jay Leno was making a rare and denim-free appearance as a guest. After making a good-natured joke at Leno’s expense, Esposito was invited to join Ferguson and Leno in the panel seats, “which is a compliment and doesn’t really happen,” as she wrote in an email to the Chicago Reader.
Despite being called into the lion’s den, or asked to hang with “Statler and Waldorf,” as Ferguson joked, Esposito managed to hold her own. “You’re the future,” Leno declared. “Kind of crazy and unheard of,” Esposito wrote. “It is actually like a really odd, awesome, rare TV moment.”
