Clicking through “most powerful” lists is a good deal of fun. It can be at once aspirational, inspiring, and infuriating. But it can also be something else: highly predictable. When it comes to the women who populate these lists, it tends to be the same ones over and over again. For good reason of course! But still, it’s repetitive — whether they’re the token woman thrown in nearly all-male lists or they’re heading up the “top women” lists — these are the ones we can nearly always assume are making the cut.

And by eating a lot of Thin Mints! If you take a look at this list, you’d think joining the Girl Scouts was a surefire ticket to leading corporate America.
