If you think Louboutins and Jimmy Choos are pricey, you’re definitely not ready for the newest Chipko sandal — which costs $18,000, making them the world’s priciest flip-flops. And they aren’t even diamond-encrusted.
Each (slightly psychedelic) ‘flop is hand-pained by noted Los Angeles artist David Palmer, according to a press release that Mogulite came across. Of course that means you probably won’t ever be able to wear them. But still, they’re kind of pretty right? A conversation starter to say the least?

Yea, yea, yea: another diamond-encrusted mogul toy. Sure. Moguls love diamonds. But how far would someone go to get the real diamond “look?” As in, have diamonds in their eyes? Pretty darn far, it would seem.
And no, we’re not speaking metaphorically here — we mean someone has literally made contact lenses with diamonds in them.
Yahoo reports that Dr. Chandrashekhar Chawan got the idea from his wife, who has diamonds implanted in her teeth. These new lenses are adorned with 18 diamonds on a yellow or white gold ring embedded in the contact.

And by “grapes,” no, we don’t mean “wine.” We mean grapes. A small bag of about 25 of them. Japan Real Time reports that a single bunch of Ruby Roman grapes sold in Japan today for ¥500,000, or $6,400, making them “by far the most expensive grapes sold in Japan and likely in the world.” We’d certainly hope so!
At that rate, each grape costs about $255. Ruby Romans are a specific, artfully-engineered grape with specific requirements, like sugar content and size and color and so on. Apparently they’re about the size of a ping pong ball, which sounds pretty big, grapefully speaking. This luxurious breed of grapes first went on the market in 2008 – and prices have shot up and up.

Last night, a bottle of 1811 Chateau d’Yquem became the most expensive bottle of white wine ever sold. It’s new owner: famous French sommelier Christian Vanneque. The price: $117,000.
“For sure, it’s the most expensive bottle I’ve ever bought,” Vanneque told The Wall Street Journal. Dude! It’s the most expensive bottle anyone’s ever bought.

Rumors are swirling that an anonymous billionaire from Malaysia may have just purchased a vessel that puts all other mogul yachts to shame. In fact, this particular one could put all other mogul yachts combined to shame. Why? Because this particular ship in question cost a jaw-dropping $4.84 billion.
The natural question, of course, is: who would need such an extravagant water toy? Well, according to the Daily Mail, that much is under wraps… for now.

Oh, of course they did! The attempt to glamorize street food to impossible heights continues. Today, meet the $80 hot dog.
Should that $5,000 Vietnamese Pho soup be a bit eh, sophisticated, for your eager-to-spend wallet, well, the half-pound $80, caviar-topped hot dog might be more to your liking.
According to the New York Daily News, the dog is the brainchild of Massachusetts baseball team the Brockton Ro, in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record…for the most expensive hot dog. They’ll serve up the dog at their game next week, in honor of National Hot Dog Day. Forking over $80 will get you a deep-fried half-pound hot dog topped with caviar, truffle oil and porcini dust.

At long last: a mogul toy of the day that’s an actual, literal toy. While some kids play with American Girl dolls, the real mogul princess might prefer the $500,000 dollhouse… which, unfortunately, you probably can’t play with.
Why? Well, for starters, this 9-foot-tall monster includes diamond-covered chandeliers, 500-year-old ornaments and artwork by Walt Disney, according to the Daily Mail. So, not exactly child’s play.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…a video of a Russian oligarch’s yacht set to the tune of techno music. Superyacht regularly publishes videos of the world’s fanciest and most fabulous yachts. Their latest: Billionaire Alisher Usmanov’s 361-foot Dilbar, worth a cool $263 million.
As you’ll recall, Usmanov has been embroiled in some heated debates as of late: After losing the bid to become the majority owner of Arsenal, he bashed the team…and generally ended up looking like a sore loser.

Many believe in the soothing, restorative power of herbal tea. It can calm the nerves and help you unwind after a long day. This tea, however, might just give you a panic attack — well, the price tag would, at least.
Presenting the (alleged) most expensive tea in the world, which costs a whopping $44,500 for just four ounces. Now, full disclosure, there’s a lot about this particular blend that seems a little sketchy. Okay, scratch that, really sketchy. For starters, the press release for this beverage that we stumbled across was released by “Protein Reactor Combined Fuels Inc,” which is, apparently, distributing the tea. Umm, “Combined Fuels” distributing tea? What, Lipton wasn’t good enough? Secondly, the company spends an inordinate amount of time in its release explaining how its products can be used (magically) to alleviate symptoms from common, debilitating illnesses. This is apparently the reason the tea is so freaking expensive.

Sigh. It was bound to happen eventually.
We present to you the $1.2 million diamond-covered iPad. This sucker is covered in roughly 300 carats of diamonds, according to the Geeky Gadgets blog, and is covered in 18-carat gold. And you thought the iPad couldn’t get any heavier. (Zing!)
