Snobby Thieves Steal $500K Of Jewelry By Going Through Sushi Restaurant

Include the words jewelry, sushi, and heist in a sentence — and you’ve got our attention!
Thieves broke into a highly sophisticated safe in the back of a jewelry store, getting away with $500,000 worth of precious gems, some of which had been part of a collection that was being collected for decades. Be still our jewelry-loving hearts! But this part’s the best: How’d the thieves manage to get in? They’re believed to have done it by busting into a sushi restaurant next door, crawling through a tunnel, sneaking under the jewelry store owner’s desk (so they wouldn’t be caught on camera), carving a hole in the back of the safe, and sneaking out with half a million dollars of jewels. Thankfully, the gems were all insured, so the jewelry store owners were about as calm as you can possibly be when someone steals diamonds by the bag from your business.
Stealing is by no means acceptable (take note!), but if you’re gonna do it, stories don’t get much better than this.
No word on whether they jacked some pricey sashimi on the way out (pro tip: go for the fatty tuna, it’s the most expensive).
