REPORT: Nearly Half of China’s Millionaires Considering Emigration

Looks like the U.K. isn’t the only country that might see a massive mogul exodus sometime soon.
Sure, it’s shocking that just 10 percent of “high earners” in the U.K. think they’re actually better off there. But turns out that China’s wealthy are just as underwhelmed by their environs.
A jaw-dropping 46 percent of China’s financial elite are considering emigration, according to a new data from the Hurun Report. The survey, which classifies wealthy as those worth $1.6 million or more, found that education was the biggest incentive to leave, with millionaire parents seeking better schools for their kids.
But if you’re living in the U.S., don’t expect an influx of Chinese millionaires — turns out that Canada and Australia were the most popular destinations listed, according to Reuters. All your fault, Occupy Wall Street?
