Office-Themed “Choose Your Own Adventure”: Navigate Testy Co-Workers, Hallucinogenic Pop-Tarts

We know that absolutely everyone who reads our website is an overachiever. Clearly.

And yay, women’s empowerment, rah rah, etc. But it’s Friday. And that means it’s time for a little diversion. Perhaps this online, clickable “Choose Your Own Adventure” from College Humor, titled “Office Odyssey”?

In this “Choose Your Own Adventure” you’re faced with a rather boring premise: You’re at work, you’re hungry and that banana you bought at the corner store looks shifty. Do you root around for snacks or wait till lunch?

Yes, dull. It’s an office-themed game. But before you know it, you’re confronted with (spoiler alert!) an hallucinogenic Pop-Tart, a coworker who might be a wizard and a boss who’s a shape-shifter in quite literally the worst possible way. Also, (extra, extra spoiler alert) I’ve tried playing this a few times and I still have no idea how to beat it. Maybe there isn’t a way. Or maybe I just make terrible decisions when confronted by a bathroom full of venomous spiders (I said spoiler alert).

So, here, it’s Friday: Blow off work with a game that simulates… work. I mean, we tried.
