The search is on! The CEO of Claire’s Stores, Eugene Kahn, has officially resigned. And Claire’s, the place you got your ears pierced in the mall, the place you bought sparkly headbands, the place you got bedazzled bracelets — needs a new leader.
In the meantime, a press release says, Claire’s President James Conroy and Claire’s North American head Jay Friedman will share the role of interim CEO. What the….? Why are a bunch of middle-aged men running Claire’s? I am enraged. Because if there’s anyone who understands the constantly shifting tastes of tweenage girls, it’s middle aged guys, right?!
So there you have it. It’s you chance. Become CEO of a big company. Live out your dream of reigning over glitter, fluffiness and botched ear piercings. You can do it!
