Your Daily Work Commute Is Slowly Killing You [Infographic]

I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you but your daily commute to and from work is slowly driving you mad. And it’s causing a ton of health problems.
Sure this might sound facetious, but take a look at the evidence, from the infographic below.
For starters, consider this: Americans spend an average of 165 hours per year just getting to and from work. And since most of you handle your commute in a car, that means an extra 165 hours that you’re sedentary. And, since we all know that sitting will definitely kill you, that’s a bad thing.
Another bad thing? Facing bad traffic every day has been linked to weight gain, rising cholesterol and poor sleep. As though you needed a study to tell you that.
The obvious solution here is to quit your job, become a hermit and never leave your house. Problem solved.
