Newsflash To Female CEOs: Apparently It’s Ok For You To Cry At Work

You know how you were told that in order to compete with the boys you had to play like a boy? Sort of like a no-pain-no-gain mentality in order to succeed? Well, according to Dina Dwyer-Owens, the female CEO of Dwyer Group in Waco, Texas, you don’t have to put on a facade at work and pretend to be tough; it’s ok to cry. I repeat: it’s ok to cry at work. In front of all your employees and co-workers.
It’s not something we would necessarily recommend, but as Dwyer’s been featured on CBS’s “Undercover Boss” crying in front of her employees as well as 9 million viewers and she’s still a CEO with authority, we think she might be onto something.
