Misogynist Daily Caller Headline Makes “Horse” Joke About Sarah Jessica Parker

Disagree with a woman’s politics? Why debate the issues when you can make fun of her appearance!
In a moment of sheer, head-slapping sexism, The Daily Caller decided to use a near-decade-old joke about Sarah Jessica Parker looking like a horse (you know, the joke that wasn’t really funny to begin with and still isn’t?). This for a story that, presumably, is all about her involvement with the Obama campaign. Classy.
The article page, meanwhile, is titled “Sarah Jessica Parker sticks her nose into 2012 campaign.” Those women. Always sticking their nose in things. The story, by Neil Munro, describes Parker’s role on Sex and the City as a “single New York columnist who meets and sleeps with various men” (that’s code for “slut,” guys). I’m half-surprised the headline didn’t read “Whorish, horse-faced actress sticks her nose where it doesn’t belong.”
Of course, the piece de resistance comes not from Munro, but courtesy of The DC’s homepage editors, who ham-handedly decided to advertise a story on the “latest target of Larry Flynt’s misogyny” (Ann Coulter) right below their own misogynist headline. It’s only okay to be misogynist when you disagree with a woman’s political views, see? That’s how it works!
We captured a screengrab of the stories right before The DC (For some funny reason! I can’t imagine what!) decided to pull its “Larry Flynt misogynist” piece:
“From the stables” and “horsing around” were a nice touch too. I think we know who’s up for a Mark Twain Prize any day now.
