Looks like Federal Prison Camp Alderson is building up quite a bit of clout among high-powered blondes.
Danielle Chiesi, the former trader (and beauty queen) sentenced to 30 months in prison for her role in the Galleon Group insider trading scandal, is arriving today at the same West VIrginia prison where fellow blonde mogul Martha Stewart once did time, according to Bloomberg.

So. A beauty queen in prison? How’s this going to pan out? Well, as Dealbreaker put it, she “won’t be living alongside ‘sadistic crack-selling lesbian rapists’.” Good to know. In fact, as Bloomberg notes, it’s referred to by former inmates as “Camp Cupcake,” where limited sunbathing is allowed. As one volunteer at the prison put it, “you would be surprised the care that the women have for one another, even when they are from different social classes.” That’ll come in handy for Chiesi, one would imagine.

This isn’t the only weird mogul-prison crossover that might happen in this case, however. Last week, after Galleon ringleader Raj Rajaratnam was sentenced to 11 years behind bars, we learned that he requested a stay in the same prison where Bernie Madoff is currently incarcerated. Who knew prisons could develop a following?
