Most Admirable Woman Ever Finds $6,000 Ring In Thrift Store Pants But Won’t Keep It

Perhaps a thrift shop wouldn’t be your first choice vendor for new clothes, but you never know what treasures you’ll find in the depths of the store. Minnesota resident Deb Thompson got a lot more than she paid for when she purchased a pair of $3.99 secondhand pants that contained a diamond ring worth up to $6,000.
But don’t think the lady is going out to sell the ring and splurge. The Daily Mail reports that Thompson is working with Goodwill to try to track down the item’s rightful owner, as she cannot bring herself to keep it.
“I need to find the owner, and I’d love to hear the story of how it got in there,” she told the New York Daily News.
Naturally, the store has received nearly 30 calls about the ring, so Thompson isn’t revealing much about its physical characteristics. Could there be a more admirable person?
