‘Slimmed Down’ Ursula And 4 Other Sexist And Creepy Disney Princess Makeovers

We all know “Little Mermaid” villain Ursula is anything but deserving of fair treatment, but she didn’t need to lose her signature curves and thin out for Disney’s new Designer Collection of figurines. The ladies at Jezebel and HuffPost Women agree that the unnecessary transformation is uncouth, and here are several other Disney princess and character makeovers that simply did not need to happen.

    I’m not sure if Ursula and Snow White would fall under the category if sexist. Certainly, Ursula’s commercialized transformation could be considered size-ist, and I’d call “Robust Snow White” creepy (which would make me sizeist), and “Twisted Princess”…sexist? Not just horrifying?

    That’s precisely why it’s titled “Other Sexist and Creepy” Makeovers. I do think it’s both creepy and sexist to highlight someone’s figure like that.
