Where Was Drag Queen Barbie When I Was A Kid?

I don’t know about you, but I was a rather peculiar child. The same was true for my friends, all of which happily played Barbie games with me until our first year of high school. There were dolls for everything back in the day (the Olsen twins, Spice Girls, you name it), but missing from Mattel’s offerings was Drag Queen Barbie, which will finally be released this holiday season.
The doll, which will cost $125 (boy, have Barbie prices shot up since 1998!), features a leggy blond figure in a pink coat, jeweled dress, and earrings. The toy is available for pre-order, and I suggest you get on it STAT, as Barbie Land could always run out of stock before Christmas. It’s too early to predict which age group the doll will be most popular with, but I’m guessing youngsters everywhere will appreciate the toy.
The 8-year-old (or 14-year-old, you choose) in me is cheering.
