Emma Stone Describes Heartbreak Perfectly: ‘Like Someone Has Killed You And You Have To Watch’
5:00 pm, August 27th | by Laura Donovan
Up and coming actress Emma Stone may be dating the adorable Andrew Garfield now, but she hasn’t always been lucky in love. The “Easy A” star has been emotionally bulldozed before and describes it better than anyone else could. She told Interview magazine of the terrible experience:
“I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up. I remember being on the floor…I have never felt anything quite like that. It was so visceral. It’s like someone has killed you and you have to live through it and watch it happen…It was awful.”
Yup, I’ve been there, and it actually hurt almost about much as losing an immediate family member. Or so it seemed at the time, when I thought that the guy who had just turned me away for the final time was the best I could do and would go on to lead a more fulfilling existence. These days, I laugh about it. I’m sure the same thing seems trivial now to Stone, whose new boyfriend comes across as quite a catch, but her rough patch goes to show that great success doesn’t always make up for the pain of heartbreak. If she could come out ahead professionally and personally though, anyone can.
