In Midst Of Dumb Middleton Photo Scandal, Awesome Emma Watson Says ‘Duchess Is Awesome’

Kate Middleton hasn’t had it easy with this silly topless picture scandal, but “Harry Potter” starlet insists the new royal is “awesome” and carrying herself with grace.

Speaking with Anderson Cooper in an interview set to air this week, the 22-year-old said of Duchess Catherine:

“I think it’s a hard deal being a royal. I think that would be intense. I think Kate’s doing an awesome, awesome job of it.”

Watson, whose new flick “Perks of Being a Wallflower” hit theaters last week, added that she understands the uneasiness Middleton must feel at being constantly watched by the media and paparazzi:

“These gowns are ridiculous. You’re being photographed from every angle, so not only do you have to consider how the thing looks, but whether you’re going to be able to sit in it and whether people are going to be able to see up your skirt.”

Cheers to Watson for understanding a fellow public figure’s experiences. Businessman Donald Trump, on the other hand, is not so keen on trying to relate to Prince William’s wife. The “Apprentice” powerhouse recently published a series of tweets faulting Middleton for the snapshot scandal, arguing that she only has herself to blame for the way the situation turned out:

“Kate Middleton is great—but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude—only herself to blame … Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”
