In today’s EOD roundup, Slate’s interactive Oscar feature discovered that in the past eleven years, Meryl Streep has been thanked four times in Oscar winners’ speeches while God has only been thanked in 3. So, in other words, Meryl Streep has been thanked a total of 7 times. [Jezebel]
Everyone is angry at the creators of Downton Abbey this week but I’m angry at Vulture for reminding me of Six Feet Under’s series finale. I get that they’re trying to determine the best TV character death scene but now, after watching those final seven minutes for the umpteenth time, all I want to do is lie down in the dark, press my cats to my chest, and blubber, “Keith at the picnic!
