EOD Sunday: In a video for TrueCar’s “Women Empowered” Initiative, members of the world’s first all-girls racing team talk about what it’s like to compete in a male-dominated sport.

In line with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s (D -N.Y.) newly proposed Gender Equality in Combat Act, which we wrote about yesterday, two women in the Army Reserves are suing to reverse the Department of Defense’s restrictions on which combat roles women can play. “The lawsuit accuses the government of violating the constitutional rights of servicewomen by excluding them from certain ground combat units and other positions solely because of their gender,” The New York Times reports.

    Lionel trains, back in the 60′s was in financial trouble and decided they wanted to reach a new audience so they manufactured a train set for girls.  It had pastel colored cars, but didn’t go over well.  Girls, like me, who liked trains wanted the real thing.  Yes, I had a train set, but had more fun designing cities and parks for my little train world and I loved it.
