‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Film To Be Rated NC-17, Says Screenwriter

“We are 100% going there,” says “Fifty Shades of Grey” film screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who spent more than a week discussing the highly-anticipated production with series author E.L. James.
“There is going to be a lot of sex in the film,” Marcel revealed to the Sunday Times. “It will be rated NC-17. It’s going to be raunch.”
Though Marcel wanted to be as true to the book as possible, she said some of the novel’s scenes won’t make it to the big screen:
“We did go through and decide which are our favorites and which are not. Most of them are in there, but I can’t say more than that.”
The books, which climbed to the top of the bestseller list last year and brought James worldwide fame, follow the life of recent college graduate Anastasia Steele as she tries to understand her feelings for wealthy, attractive businessman Christian Grey. An unlikely pair, the two get together, but BDSM-loving Grey expects her to become his sex slave. Hence, the movie is expected to include some wild bedroom scenes.
The real question is this: what does the screenwriter mean when she says the movie will be “100% going there”? Will the actors pull a Shia LaBeouf and actually bone on camera? Is that a thing now?
