So Sad I Missed Out On The Fifty Shades Of Grey Sex Workshop. Are You?

Last week, I detailed the overwhelming, high energy feel of author E.L. James’s “Fifty Shades of Grey” New York City book signing, and I can only imagine the mood of the room would be even more wild at a sex workshop inspired by the popular series.
Unfortunately, I missed out on the chance of a lifetime last week, when the “Fifty Shades of Hot Sex” crash course was held in Manhattan. Modeled off the “Fifty Shades” trilogy, which follows recent college graduate Anastasia Steele’s complex sexual dynamic with wealthy bondage-loving CEO Christian Grey, the “Hot Sex” workshop provided attendees the opportunity to “try out some of the scenes from the book” and turn their “fantasies into reality.” The 18-and-over cocktail event encouraged participants to “bring your girlfriends or your lover and get inspired to try new things in the bedroom. Arrive early; the first twenty five guests will receive gift bags filled with toys that are Mr. Grey Approved.”
James, who cheered at her Union Square reading when someone mentioned the “Saturday Night Live” skit on “Fifty Shades,” would probably be thrilled to hear about the workshop. It’s a shame I got wind of the activity after the fact, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a follow-up party. No word yet from the coordinators whether this will go down, but anything is possible in the world of Christian Grey.
