Bloomberg’s Youngest Daughter Dishes Family Dirt?

It’s the tell-all book about the Bloomberg family that you’ve been waiting for — almost.

Georgina Bloomberg, the younger of Mayor Mike’s two daughters, has released a new young-adult novel called “The A Circuit,” according to the New York Times. The book is, officially, fiction. But the Times (and, it would seem, anyone who can get a copy) is convinced there’s plenty of truth woven in:

The father figure, Rick Aaronson, is a blunt-talking Wall Street billionaire who lives in a Manhattan town house and “owns half of New York.” His older daughter, Callie, is an Ivy League graduate with a passion for politics. And his younger daughter, Thomasina, or Tommi, is an award-winning equestrian who chafes at her father’s expectations of a traditional career.

Obscenely wealthy Manhattanite dad? Check. Young, rebellious daughter who picks a career in horseback riding, much to her father’s chagrin? Check. Overachieving older sister? Check. Horribly awkward interview with the Times that obliterates any chance of covering up the characters’ inspiration… Oh, huge check:

Asked whether the character of Rick Aaronson, the billionaire businessman who has a standing tennis date with the mayor, was based on her father, she fumbled with her coffee cup, which landed on its saucer with a clatter, and erupted into nervous laughter.

“Yes, O.K., a lot of people could see similarities,” she said, adding that she was trying to write about a young person proving herself to her family. “I think that’s something that hopefully people see as kind of a universal idea, not just something that’s, oh, this is about Georgina and her father.”

Georgina said she didn’t ask for her dad’s approval, although we can’t imagine there’s anything too damning in the book… right? Okay, yea, we’re going to go buy our copy right now.

It is well known that a novelists first work is somewhat “biographical”.  Real life is a point of reference for the beginner. This just goes to justify the  need for the ESTATE TAX that puts money back into the economy from which the wealth is generated.  Second generation money in the hands of the heirs has proven the ole tale about he spoiled rich kids who have never worked or worried about where their next meal comes from. They are in many cases: selfish inconsiderate louts who have no idea what it is to value productivity. The Walton heirs have created a worldwide  retail empire that exploits labor, destroys competition and weakens free societies. They are all billionaires, whose greed is insatiable and their loyalty to country and a free society is up for examination and discussion.

You’re really jealous of wealthy people, aren’t you? You’re such a commie.

Just what is a commie anyway. Having been a woman in service of her country for over 30 years on the local level,  nursing a brother who is a Viet Nam vet for another 3o years, married to a Korean Vet, and the mother of two sons who served in the Gulf War and Macedonia, both with distinguished service recognition, one with a bronze medal. I am a christian that believes that I am my brothers keeper. I believe as Adam Smith did that CAPITALISM is an economic system that has a component of Social responsibility. I believe as Warren Buffet does, that everyone who has wealth in this country does so on the shoulders of those who came before. I also believe that there are three essential legs to successful capitalism: land, labor and land and that each has to be in balance to serve the community well. I believe that the republican fiscal policies have been destructive to our DEMOCRACY and undermines its future by elevating wealth to a social status that is aristocratice and considers itself better than the rest of humans. I believe, that VOODOO econcomics is dangerous, that TAX CUTS for the rich undermine our DEMOCRACY and that DEREGULATION has created chaos on Wall street and gave the rogues and thieves a license to steal from the american people and the world without fear of ramifications. This country has been safe, great, good and generous in its history, but those time are currently jeopardized by FOX MEDIA controlled by an expatriate, a Saudi Prince and a paranoid freak Roger Ailes.  I am an american, I am a social capitalist who is worried about what is happening in WI, MI, OH and FL where power is being placed in the hands of a few dictators creating a true environment of “taxation without representation” on american soil. I love my country and I love my family, of that I am sure.
