Giants Fans May Ruining Your Credit Score As We Speak

Remember when Sony’s and Citi’s and Nintendo’s databases got hacked and people’s personal banking information was leaked onto the Internet? That was unfortunate. But this might be worse: Manhattan Financial District businesses decided to participate in the Giants Super Bowl ticker tape parade by throwing people’s financial documents out the window.

Although the city distributed bags of scraps of paper for businesses to throw out their windows, some people got a little carried away and started to throw confidential documents into the street — some of which included social security numbers and medical records. Not good.

So! Be sure to check your accounts for any fraudulent charges. If a bunch of Giants Super Bowl Champions t-shirts were charged to your account, now you know why.
