The 5 Best Career Complaints From HBO’s Girls
4:36 pm, March 5th | by Hillary Reinsberg
There’s been lots of talk about HBO’s official “Trying To Figure It All Out™” with your kind of crappy job and even crappier love life show Girls this week. Is it going to be the new Sex and the City, with more annoying jobs and cheaper clothes? Maybe! But all we have to base that off so far is the couple of trailers — which do, at the very least, offer a sampling of some of the great dialogue the series promises to offer.
Here are our five favorite lines so far:
1. “My circumstances have changed and I can no longer afford to work for free.”
2. “I’m not flattered by sexual harassment.”
3. “You could not pay me enough to be 24 again.”
“Well, they’re not paying me at all.”4. “I think I may be the voice of my generation. Or at least, a voice, of a generation.”
5. “When you get hungry enough you’re going to figure it out.”
“Do you mean physically hungry or like hungry for the job?”
