Mogul Toy of the Day: $19,000 Shoelaces (Really.)

Every time we think we’ve seen the most outrageous, most ridiculous Mogul Toy of the Day over here at Mogulite, we almost always stand corrected just weeks later.
Case in point, today’s toy: 24-carat gold shoelaces. Yep.
The laces, seen here strapped into the world’s first invisible shoe (that’ll cost you extra), will set you back around $19,000, according to TODAY. The laces, are on a limited edition run from maker Mr. Kennedy, which claims it takes 120 hours to make just one pair.
How do these tie? I have no clue. But (luckily) Mr. Kennedy has pledged to send a security team to deliver each set “anywhere in the world.” Upon arrival, said security team will lace them for you, which should help ease any confusion. Each buyer is limited to just 10 units. Why on earth the manufacturer had to specify that is beyond me. If you’re bummed out because you can’t get that 11th set of gold shoelaces, there is something wrong with you. Sorry. Someone had to say it.
