Fashion Magazines, Women Writers Passed Over For National Magazine Awards

The American Society of Magazine Editors has announced its finalists for this year’s National Magazine Awards, and the results are not entirely surprising.
A full list of nominees is below, but we have some easily digestible stats for you. Condé Nast leads magazine publishers with 24 nominations, Hearst comes in second with 10, and Time scored seven. Perennial ASME favorites New York and The New Yorker are the most decorated titles with six noms each, while GQ received five and Wired got four. Country Living, The Fader, and Vice all received their first-ever nominations.
