Ugh: Court Worker Allegedly Solicited Women For Sex As They Filed For Divorce
6:45 pm, August 15th | by Amy Tennery
A man in El Paso, Texas faces four separate counts of promotion of prostitution after allegedly attempting to solicit sex for pay from multiple women.
While the basics are bad enough, this story gets even more ridiculous and awful (ridawful) once you fill in the details: The man is a process server at the El Paso County Courthouse and the women he allegedly targeted were in the process of filing for divorce, according to the El Paso Times. Because nothing gets the ladies going like sex solicitation five feet away from a notary.
Okay so, if what officials say happened did, in fact, happen, this is undeniably terrible. But let’s unpack the situation for a second: The guy attempted to break the law inside a courthouse. Worse yet, he thought it would be a good idea to solicit sex from women in the process of getting divorced. For the uninitiated, women filing for divorce are perhaps the last people living you’d want to punk. They are tough, they are in control and they do not suffer fools gladly. Is there any possible way the guy thought this gambit would pay off?
The alleged would-be john is currently being held on an $800,000 bond, so he’ll have to wait on his next extremely intelligent scheme for a few days.
