Guys, There’s A KickStarter Account For “Man Candy And Cupcakes”

I’ll let them explain:

Man Candy and Cupcakes will bring brawn to baking. It will feature scrumptious recipes for mouthwatering cupcakes brought to you by the world’s sexiest bakers. We need money for styling, expert photography and design, not to mention whipped cream and snug-fitting boxer shorts. We believe that there is nothing sexier than a man in the kitchen, particularly if he has a packed pantry, and we are counting on you to help us prove it. Please give us some dough so we can get rolling!

The premise seems a little thin, since it appears to be much more about the dudes than the cupcakes, which makes this sound more akin to a coffee table book than a cookbook, but to each their own. Interestingly, even though the campaign emphasizes the “sweaty sexiness of our brawny bakers” (and is otherwise awash in gay subtext) they seem pretty confident that this book is 4 the ladieeeeees. Also, in their quest to get funding they’re threatening harmless cupcakes, which is unnecessary.

Last thing: if you pledge $2,500 or more, you have the honor of being a “subject (sex object) in the e-book.” They’re only at $1,628 out of $18,000 with 31 days to go. Time to start looking in your couch cushions for spare change!
