Welcome to Scene and Heard, Mogulite’s regular column tracking the moguls who play as hard as they work. From charities to parties and from St. Barths to Davos, we leave no stone unturned. Eat your heart out, Robin Leach.
– Fashion and music mogul Gwen Stefani joined film world heavies at Amfar Cinema Against AIDs in Cannes to raise over $10 million dollars to fight the disease. Avon creative exec Jillian Dempsey, Naomi Campbell (along with her Russian oligarch manfriend Vlad Doronin) and one of the many former Mrs. Trumps, Ivana, were among those giving and partying lavishly during the 64th annual film fest. – Google exec Marissa Mayer stepped away from the Googleplex long enough to work the red carpet at the Whitney American Art Award and Groundbreaking Gala. Larry and Sergey probably understood however, as the fashion favorite Mayer was in town to pick up an award. [Style]
– Mogulite.com played host to moguls in training and media insiders alike at our site launch party. Bonobos CEO Andy Dunn chatted with the founders of Julie Macklowe-funded Bauble Bar at a magnificent townhouse in Tribeca. Lot18 was on hand with wine for the top execs and editors from around New York. [Mogulite]
