Gwyneth Paltrow Thinks You Should Spend $50,000 On Your Work Wardrobe

Oh Gwyneth. You do have the best advice. It’s funny because last week I was defending her when Jessica Alba said she was more grounded than Gwyneth, but this is not going to help me. In her latest post on GOOP, Gwyneth decided to share her spring fashion style tips, including what you should wear to work. However, the word “budget” was clearly never considered.
For work, Gwyneth thinks a $855 McQ Alexander McQueen skirt paired with a T by Alexander Wang sweater (estimated to be around $200) and Acne boots for $495. The clothes, all from Net-a-porter, are meant to be ‘inspiration for outfits for all aspects of your busy life’, according to her website. Hopefully you are making a lot of money in your busy life since this outfit alone (and I didn’t include the necklace) will cost upwards of $1500. And this isn’t even a power suit. You have to work somewhere cool where you can dress funky.
She came up with a number of other looks for running around town or just hanging at the house. Gwynnie suggests a satin and tulle maxi skirt that goes for $1,615 from Temperley London (but don’t worry, the T by Alexander Wang top is only $77.) Altogether her eight different looks will set you back $50,000.
Oh Gwyneth. You are always entertaining us.
