Hey Fallaholic: Put Down Your Pumpkin Spice Latte and Watch This PSA

Look at yourself: sweating underneath that flannel blanket, feigning shivers even though it’s 70 degrees outside; reduced to directly injecting apple cider, tying off your arm with those colorful tights you bought at TJ Maxx and planned to wear under wool skirts; hitting up ever nursery in town to see when you can score some pumpkin. You have a full-blown fall addiction. You can’t fool me — I’ve been there. Oh yeah, it was bad. Back in ’97. I was going out at 4 AM, crushing leaves behind the Ruby Tuesday’s just for the sound. At my worst I was jumping into leaf piles with four, five guys at a time. I never even knew their names. I knew I had hit rock bottom when my parents found me passed out on the front step. I tried to wear six scarves at the same time….I got overheated. It was just too damn hot.
You’re going down a dark path. If you don’t believe me, at least watch this video written and directed by Melanie Owens and Teresa Lee. Maybe they can get through to and teach you the dangers of falling for fall.
