Ann Romney: Hilary Rosen ‘Should Have Come To My House When My Five Boys Were Causing Trouble’
1:15 pm, April 12th | by Laura Donovan
Responding to political consultant Hilary Rosen’s now viral assertion that Ann Romney “has actually never worked a day in her life,” Ann herself told Fox’s Martha MacCallum Thursday morning, “She should have come to my house when those five boys were causing so much trouble. It wasn’t so easy.”
Jokes aside, Ann rejected insinuations that she is out of touch with average people of the country, as the breast cancer survivor herself knows a little something about adversity, “Look I know what it’s like to struggle and if maybe I haven’t struggled as much financially as some people have I can tell you and promise you that I’ve had struggles in my life. I would love to have people understand that Mitt and I have compassion for people that are struggling and that’s why we’re running.”
It’s true that the Romneys’ riches don’t mean their lives are easy. Without health, you have nothing, and Ann had a lot at stake when she was simultaneously ill and trying to attend to her rowdy sons.
