Hooters Clientele Tell Innocent Blogger They’ll “Kick Her In The Vagina”

A Hooters closes in Bristol, England, because it’s not doing much business. A feminist blogger gets unreasonably blamed — and men tell her they’re going to “kick [her] in the vagina.” The police get involved. Absurdity ensues.

We noted the story yesterday — in short, a Hooters closed because it was in a below average location and wasn’t getting too many visitors. Big whoop. A feminist blogger named Sian Norris posted on a Facebook page that feminists in the city use as a forum, saying she was happy the Hooters closed, because it objectified women, yada yada yada. Again, big whoop, right?

But things did go sour when some fans of the Hooters decided to blame the bar’s closing on Norris. They too took to Facebook, saying she’d have to “pay” and declaring that they’d “kick [her] in the vagina.” Charming, isn’t it? Norris has now taken the incident to local police, who are looking into the matter.

Oh, Facebook.
