CNBC Tells You “How To Date A Wall Street Man”
6:57 pm, February 8th | by Hillary Reinsberg
A lot of dating advice tends to be pretty bad. But this column on “How to Date a Wall Street Man” just took it a step further.
The CNBC article is, as Daily Intel puts it, “not a parody.” But oh, how we wish it were.
Some of the advice dispensed: ”You need to be accommodating or his schedule and time constraints or he will get frustrated and find another woman.”
And then there’s this: ”Unfortunately, a lot of guys on Wall Street have a hard time leaving work at the office; it’s your job to get his mind on you and off the S & P.”
Also be prepared to receive “extravagant gifts”!
The Jane Dough has been friends with/related to/dated “a Wall Street man” and would like to clarify: everyone deserves a break here. The fact that a man makes a living dealing with financial instruments does not make him an evil beast who only communicates through his assistant and doesn’t remove his eyes from his BlackBerry. And women: well, we don’t know what else to tell you other than “be sexy,” as the article suggests. Ready? Set. Go.
