How Not To Go Stir Crazy When Working Remotely During Hurricane Sandy

Happy Monday! If you’re working from home today (and possibly tomorrow) due to Hurricane Sandy, you’re probably stoked about having the freedom to do your job in your pajamas. That excitement won’t last. You’re going to feel pretty bored and stir crazy soon, so here are a couple ways to not lose your mind while housebound.

1.Chill with your neighbors

I suggested this in the last slideshow because it's just that awesome a thing to do. You're either stuck with your roommates or just yourself, so use the hurricane as an opportunity to socialize with the folks in your apartment building.

2.Google Chat your coworkers more often than usual

3.Call people if you can

Call people if you can

It's rare to chat over the phone anymore, so if you have service, call people you'd like to reconnect with. You'll feel a lot less lonely!

4.Keep background noise on

Keep background noise on

If possible, always have something on in the background, whether it's the television or the radio. It's comforting to have something to listen to!

5.Stay busy

Stay busy

Maintain your regular work pace and throw yourself into your assignments. It will take your mind off any fears you may have!
