Angel Investor Joanne Wilson: “If We Invest In Women Entrepreneurs, We’d Change The Game”

“I also have put the majority of my investments into women-led companies. I’m a big believer, but this whole nonsensical thing of not enough women in tech, not enough women CEOs, not enough women on the board — guess what? If we invest in women entrepreneurs, we’d change the game because they’re all CEOs. It’s pretty easy to do,” says Joanne Wilson, one of New York’s few female angel investors and blogger at GothamGal.
Wilson, interviewed today in Women 2.0, has invested in startups led by both women and men, but she doesn’t buy into some of the proposed solutions to get more women in tech. She has one solution: invest in women, then they’ll become CEOs. We like her thinking.
