John Edwards Flirts With Juror — Seemingly Unaware Philandering’s Why He’s On Trial

Technically John Edwards is on trial for misappropriation of campaign funds, but as far as the public is concerned he’s on trial because he spent said campaign funds on his mistress while his wife was dying of cancer.

While on trial for being a complete and total sleaze-ball, it would probably be wise for Edwards to AVOID acting like a complete and total sleaze-ball by, say, flirting with a juror at his own trial, for example. But according to ABC, that’s exactly what the ever-chaste politician did.

Since the alternates were identified last Thursday, it has been impossible to ignore the dynamic between Edwards and one of the female alternates, an attractive young woman with jet-black hair, who seems to have been flirting with Edwards for days.

The juror clearly instigated the exchanges. She smiles at him. He smiles politely back at her. She giggles. He blushes.

Regardless of who instigated what, perhaps Edwards should take a cold shower before going to court, rather than helping prove the prosecution’s case by showing that he’s enough of a philanderer to overlook even the most glaring impropriety.
