Joy Behar And Erica Jong Talk ‘Vaginas’ In Behar’s New Current Show. I’m In! [VIDEO]

Joy Behar, whose CurrentTV show premieres tonight, sure knows how to facilitate a riveting conversation. For the first episode of her program, she sat down with Michigan state Rep. Lisa Brown, Erica Jong, and Daily Beast writer Michelle Goldberg to talk about Brown being silenced on the House floor for daring utter the word “vagina.”

Referencing Rep. Mike Callton’s complaint about Brown’s usage of the anatomical term, Behar said, “This guy said, ‘What she said was so offensive. It was so offensive I don’t even want to say it in front of women. I would not say that in mixed company…But don’t you think they use…the ‘c’ word, these guys…when they’re sort of bashing women?”

I’m sure it pops up in conversation, but certainly not in “mixed company”…They’d never live it down! Behar went on the ask what other word would have been acceptable in that context, to which Jong said, “they can’t use any other word.”

“The GOP wants to go backward as far as women’s rights are concerned. I think a lot of women haven’t been watching…[to see they're] the victim of this kind of thing. Basically it’s a diversion. The Republicans have no economic plan, so they’re going to get people all excited about the word ‘vagina,’” Jong said.

Well now I’m intrigued. Looks like Behar’s show is going to be just as entertaining as “The View.” I’m already hooked.

Take a look at the clip below:

Since it won’t have Elizabeth Hasselbeck and her brainless parroting of Sean Hannity’s latest lunacy, it already promises to be vastly more entertaining than ‘The View.’
